We regret to announce that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Wader Course with Richard Montinaro, which was to be held over the weekend of 27-28 March 2010, has been CANCELLED. There are still a couple of people who booked and paid for this course who have not given me their banking details for a refund yet.
DELTA ENVIRONMENTAL CENTRE & MARIEVALE FIELD TRIP
Who better to learn about waders and wader identification from, than the man who found South Africa’s first Asiatic Dowitcher? Richard Montinaro will share his impressive knowledge of waders; their habits and habitats. The theoretical session of the course will be held at the Delta Environmental Centre while the practical session, to practice your newly acquired knowledge, will be at Richard’s familiar stomping ground: Marievale Bird Sanctuary. Late March is a very good time for Palaearctic migrant waders as many will have started preparing for their imminent journey and may already show some breeding plumage.
